Poor

I don't know anymore,

This is starting to become a bore.

I am losing this game while on the shore,

and after this I’m going to become poor.

Poet

Some people say they are a poet,

Well I just don't know it.

They say things like I’m going to go throw it,

Maybe even they will be a pro at it.

Noodles

I was sitting in the room with four seconds remaining.

I was walking out the door and Momma C.,

Had gotten the noodles and began straining.

I knew I shouldn't eat,

I knew I would begin weight gaining.

Food

Food is my everything

and it is my life.

If anyone tries to take my barbecued wing,

They will have to deal with the wildlife.

School

It is now becoming a chore,

to get up every day,

and act like I don't want too be on a lake shore.

After eight months I just started to ignore,

When we were taught about the Mexican War.

Get a Parfait

My birthday is on its way,

So I need to start getting my tan in today.

After it becomes midday,

I will be on my phone and texting people “hey”.

I will be watching sports,

While the parents yell and talk about how it was foul play.

I would probably just walk away,

and maybe get a parfait.

Phone

Some people say i'm always on my phone.

When I answer my phone I ask if it is some unknown.  

People I know ask how many phones I own,

Sometimes they ask while eating a scone.

The Dead Walking

It was a regular day, I was sitting in my room. I heard four gunshots and ran down my stairs to see if everything was okay. I saw my older brother holding a gun in his hand. Someone was laying on the white and blue tiles, dead. I saw blood everywhere. That's when we found out about the outbreak. I looked at him with a surprising look, he had just gotten home from his time in the military.

“Are you okay? What happened down here, I thought you weren’t getting back to town until tomorrow?” I yelled at Jack as my younger brother walked into the house. He looked down on the floor and started to scream.

I was the middle child with two brothers. Jack, the oldest, had been in the military, he was eighteen. I had been a sophmore in high school at fifteen. My brother, Jake, was my twin. Our Mother and Father were always on vacations without us. They were in Florida when Jack told them he was coming home, that was almost one week ago.

“We can't wait for Mom and Dad to come home. Get in the Jeep right now, we’re leaving.” I got up from looking at the body as Jack started to yell louder.

“Juliet just listen to him and go pack your clothes, I will come upstairs with you.” Jake said as he walked me up the stairs and took me to my room. I got in my room and grabbed my phone off of my desk.

“You need to come over to my house, Jack is freaking out and telling us we have to leave.” I texted my best friend, Scarlett. She told me that she was on her way.

*Ten minutes later*

I heard Scarlett pull up into the driveway. We had our bags full of food, clothes and anything my brother thought we needed.

“I need to tell you why I did that, you all need to sit so I can tell you. Just tell you and we can get out of this city.” Jack said as he grabbed his gun from his holster. He looked at the ground depressingly. “Something happened at one of the CDC labs, there was a virus that broke out. The general called me into his office and told me that there were people who got infected. The people who got infected had died, well not completely. After a few hours they came back, they couldn't be killed when we tried to shoot them.”

“Haha, you're joking, right Jack? This sounds like something from a video game that we used to play, now I know you're joking.” He sadly looked up at Jack, I’ve never seen either of them have a more disappointing look on their faces.

I looked up at the sky and I noticed dark clouds forming. “Jake, listen too him. We need to leave right now. Go inside and grab the dog then were leaving. You aren't in charge anymore, we’re going to go to Flordia and get Mom and Dad. Scarlett get in the Jeep and tell your parents were going on a little trip.” I finished talking and got into the passenger seat.

*The night before*

“The game is tied, you need to get down here before half!” I yelled at Scarlett over the phone. I looked back up at the scoreboard and got excited, it was the last game of the regular season. I got back up with the other cheerleaders, we started cheering. After halftime Jake’s best friend, the quarterback got hit. He was knocked out cold, nobody knew what was happening. We called the ambulance and I had to leave.

“Scarlett grab your stuff, we’re going into the school.” She looked at me confused and I told her what happened. “Can you just go back to your sister and get your stuff?” I asked as politely as I could being disappointed. We told my brother to grab his stuff and get in the Jeep. I pulled up to the hospital parking lot and Jake got out and ran into the hospital.

“Where is Noah Parker’s room?” Jake said as he looked around the room. The nurse pointed towards the closest room. The three of us walked into the room, Noah was laying on the bed. Noah’s crashed in the room, his doctors and nurses ran into the room.

“Charge to-” I heard a faint yell from the nurse as I fell to the floor. I woke up in a hospital room with an IV on my arm. I looked up and saw Jake sitting there with tears streaming down his face. I was worried, all I could think of was the game.

“Jake, what happened? Is everything okay? Did Noah get through it?” I couldn't stop myself from asking questions. We had to leave the hospital and get some sleep. We were in the car and Jake started to talk again.

“H-H-He’s going to get the plug pulled if he doesn't wake up by tomorrow morning.” I pulled into the driveway and thought to myself that it was all just a dream, until I woke up and heard gunshots.

*Present Day*

“We’re going to the hospital before we leave!” I shouted without thinking. “Jake and I need to go into the hospital and make sure that Noah is okay.” I said as Jack started to pull out of our driveway. Jake and I got out of the Jeep. We went into the hospital and walked into his room.

“Isn’t this Noah Parker’s room?” I asked and she looked away. She pointed towards the stairs to the morgue. I walked down and saw Noah standing up. He was looking down at someone, I looked down at the ground and saw a pool of blood.

“Noah, are you okay?” Jake said as Noah turned around. He had blood all over his face. Jake tried walking towards him and Noah’s arms and legs were dripping with blood.

“Jake move away from him,” I stopped talking and heard Jack running down the stairs. He pulled his  gun out and shot Noah in the head.

“This is what we were going to talk about,” Jack started yelling. I sat down on a chair and noticed blood on my arm. I rolled up my sleeve and saw a bite on my forearm. “What is that?” Jack asked while walking towards me.

“It’s a bite, it’s probably just from the dog. I think I opened it back up when I hit Noah.” I looked up at my brother and he had a gun pointed towards my head. I started crying and didn't know what to do. He told me he loved me and he was sorry. He pulled the trigger and the last thing I heard was a was a cry from Jake.

Birthday Party

Birthday Party

I had been waiting for my seventeenth birthday for what seemed like forever. I had the best time, until I got arrested. I was partying with friends and got into a lot of trouble. I don't regret anything, even though I had gotten grounded for six months by my parents. It was amazing and terrifying.

I walked up my seventeen stairs, slowly getting ready to be scared out of my mind. My little sister, Hailey had been scaring me since we were kids. I got to the top of the stairs and called for my dog.

“Laila, come here.” I yelled as she came out of my room. She normally stops if Hailey is there, but she didn't stop today. It was nearly one in the morning, and I had just gotten home from a party. My room was in the attic; I had the biggest and best room in the house. It took us three years to get it insulated and finished.

I got to my room, put my phone on the dock, and turned my music up as high as it could go. My mom came up to my room to say goodnight and, then turned around and started walking slowly down the stairs as if she forgot something.

“Oh, and one more thing Maya,” my mother started to say excitedly, “Happy birthday, now get some sleep please. I don't need you anymore crabby than you’ll already be.” She left my room and went to sleep. I turned my music down, put it on a timer, and slowly fell asleep.

*The next morning*

“Come on Maya, you need to get up. Your sister’s meet starts in one hour!” My mom yelled. I rushed down my stairs and got my purse off the hook. My mom laid a gift on my kitchen counter.

“Here you go, it may not be the best. You may be getting another present after the meet though.” My mom said questioningly. I opened up the present and it was and envelope and a jewelry box. I got over two hundred dollars and another pair of diamond earrings because I had lost mine. I walked over to my mom and gave her a hug.

“Hailey, let's go. You're riding with me to the meet!” I yelled at my sister so she would hurry out of the bathroom.

“No, all you're going to do is ask me about your birthday. You're also going to play the music way too loud!” she snapped back at me as she was trying to get her shoes on. She finally agreed with me and went out to start my moms car, that I was driving. My mom had a Dodge Charger, this was only the second time I drove it.

“Mom! Hurry up, we need to go!” I yelled frantically.

“Don't wreck the car again Maya, we don't need you too get in another accident,” I looked at mom with a disappointing face. “It would be on your birthday again too.”

“Seriously!” I walked out the door and to the driveway. My sister was already in the car and hesitating the ride. I turned my bluetooth on before I got into the car so I could blare my music right when I got in. I got the station on Pandora picked out and started it. As the music turned on, my sister started singing I knew that it was going to be a fun ride.

“Do you even know where my meet is?” My sister turned the music down and stared at me.

“No!” I yelled sarcastically, “Obviously I know where we’re going, who do you think I am?” I looked behind me too see if my mom left and started calling her out on it. I pulled out of the driveway as fast as I could without going into my yard.

“What are you doing-” My sister started to say something but I turned the music back up.

“I have to go into Casey's real quick, give me a minute.” I told my sister, grabbed my keys and wallet, and then unbuckled.

“What do you have to get?” She asked as if she thought I was going to take forever.

“If you really want to know, I’m going in to get some iced coffee and pick someone up.” I answered and got out. She asked who I was getting, and I just winked at her.

“Hey, what took you so long to get here? I thought you had to hurry because your sister?” James asked while he was paying for my iced coffee. We walked out of Casey’s and my sister rolled down the window and and asked what he was doing, I told her to get in the backseat.

“No, no, no. You can not bring him to my meet!” My sister yelled at both of us. “Why, would you do this too me?” My sister about cried and then I finally told her to move. She then moved, but until we got to Council Bluffs she ignored me. We pulled into the parking lot of Target. I told her if she was done ignoring me I would get her Starbucks. We walked in, got starbucks, and went back out to the car. I saw my best friend right by my car. My sister absolutely loved her. Ashley got into the car and we were on the way to the meet. Hailey turned the music back on, she had the aux cord.

“Maya, if I were you, I would turn the music up, right now.” Hailey said as I started to get worried. I turned the music up, and she turned “Fergalicious” on. I loved that song, she knew I did. We were on the road and singing as loud as we could, well except for James.

We were at the meet and Hailey had forty-five minutes to warm up. While she was warming up, we went to McDonalds. We got breakfast and got back just in time for the meet to start. As the meet went on, Hailey kept getting first in her events. I was proud of her, for once. After the meet was done and she was ready to leave, she couldn't find us. We forgot that she had to be picked up at a certain time, we left twenty minutes ago to find a target. We got back after ten minutes.

“Get in the car, we’re going too HuHot.” I looked at her and she opened the door too the passenger seat.

“James, you need to move. I'm not in the mood to fight right now.” She looked at me with a dirty look. He got up and moved to the back with Ashley. We left HuHot and went home, It was time for the decorating. I went up too my room, took a nap and then got ready for my party. I was curling my hair and Ashley came into my room.

“Do you need any help curling your hair?” I looked at her with a surprising look.

“Are you guys done decorating?” I asked Ashley and she quickly answered with a yes, “Then yes, please help.” We got my hair done, I put my skinny jeans, I rolled them up then put my shoes on. I looked for my swim suit but Laila had been laying on it. I rolled her over then put my suit in my bag. I drove to the store to get pop and Doritos.

*The Party*

“Maya, you need to get over here!” James yelled as he was climbing up the ladder to my roof. I started climbing up the ladder and then I saw my sister. I went over to Hailey and she said someone was here with her ex. She started crying and ran into our house. She went up to my room because she always goes up there.

“Maya, you need to go back out there.” I said to her as I closed my door. She got up and walked past me. She started to walk down my stairs and I told her everything would be alright. She just walked past me. I stayed in my room for about fifteen minutes, then Ashley and  James came up.

“You know that party down there is for you, right?” James said as if he were mad at me.

“I know I will go back down in a min-” Someone started yelling outside and I got interrupted. Hailey was running towards her ex with my softball bat. I opened my window and yelled at Hailey.

“What are you doing?” I yelled as loud as I could. I started to run down my stairs. I ran out my porch door and grabbed the bat off the ground after she hit Connor in the legs.

“Im calling the police Maya, why would she do this?” James looked at me and yelled questioningly.

“Um, well I don't know. Maybe it's because of the fact that they just broke up yesterday.” I answered sarcastically. The fire spread as people started to run around. The police showed up and I got pressed with charges for the party being at my house. I had a lot of fun even though there were so many injuries and problems.

Long Lost 3: Finding out the Truth

*Previously on Long Lost*

Elizabeth had been living a lie her whole life. She was kidnapped by her real parents, and they never found the kidnappers, Elizabeth and her friend, Tori had recently been on their way to New York. While on their way, Tori swerved off the road, and they got into a car crash. Tori replaced Elizabeth’s body with someone else's before they were going to the hospital. She knew it was risky, she was suffering from many injuries Tori wanted to be a doctor so she knew what to do. The girl Tori replaced Elizabeth with died in the hospital. Elizabeth’s twin sister, Lily had gone to the hospital too see the body, she later found out it wasn't her.

*The Kidnapping*

“If we steal these babies we will have to live a lie our whole lives, everyone we've ever loved, or ever communicated with will die!” Exclaimed Jodi, one of Elizabeth’s kidnappers.

“It will be okay Jodi, I promise, we will eventually live a normal life.” Answered Derek climbing up into a window to get the FBI agents’ daughters. Heather and Alex had been in the FBI for six years. Their parents were in the FBI, and retired when they joined. They had Elizabeth, and Lily a little less than eight months ago. They were unbelievably happy with life.

*Present Day*

Elizabeth was in a cabin, a cabin in the woods. She had been there since the car accident. She was there with someone, it wasn't Tori. She had no clue who it was until one night when she was sleeping.

“You need to get up right now!” Yelled the other girl in the cabin. Elizabeth still had a lot of pain from the crash.

“Who are you?” Elizabeth finally asked as if she was dying. She was angry and afraid she would be hurt.

*Back to the kidnapping*

Jodi and Derek were climbing up the gutters into the twins’ room. They got into the room, Lily wasn't there. They were both in a panic trying to figure out where she would be.

“I can't do this anymore, she’s just an innocent baby, she needs good parents!” Jodi said as she was looking for the baby Derek picked up Elizabeth.

“Do you remember why we’re doing this?” Derek questioned as if Jodi had forgotten.

“Well, yes I couldn't forget I’m not able to so you wanted to steal two innocent babies! I can't do this, it will make me go insane, stealing an innocent child.” Jodi said as she was frantically pacing around the room.

“We can-” Elizabeth started crying as Derek stopped talking. “Take the baby now! Jodi we need to hurry!” Derek continued to yell at Jodi. Jodi grabbed Elizabeth and jumped out of the window.

*Present Day*

Elizabeth and the girl from the cabin got up, and left the room they were in. They went upstairs, they saw a hidden door. They saw supplies that would last them two weeks, there were guns, food, water, and blankets with pillows.

“Should we take the supplies?” Elizabeth quickly asked, the girl immediately replied with a yes.

“My name is Blanca, you can just call me “B” for now, but we need to hurry so let's grab the stuff and go.” The girls left the house in a hurry.

“I know who kidnapped us, let’s go to the police about this!” Elizabeth saw a car driving by, they asked for a ride and were headed to the police station. They were at the police station, they caught Elizabeth’s “parents” they were locked up for good. Elizabeth was reunited with her real family. They adopted Blanca, they had an amazing life. Well, until lily was released from prison, and came to find her. Tori was looking into where Elizabeth was living, she found her. Tori had been anxious to get her hands on Elizabeth, and kill her. Elizabeth's fake parents got out of jail three months after Tori. Tori was waiting for them and got ready to kill Elizabeth. They went into Elizabeth's room one night, got their guns out. They all shot her at the same time. They went to prison and were never released. Elizabeth's family was devastated, they never thought they would get out. When Tori got out, Elizabeth went to see her, that's how she knew where she lived.
