The Mississippi River

I am going the times we went fishing. It all started when my dad started dating this girl, Jill lived in Fort Dodge. She is nice and can cook. They dated a while before he met her parents. When he did meet them it was for a homemade dinner. He wanted to go by himself this time which I totally understand because my brother and I are kind of crazy; especially my brother.
The next time he went by himself again but this time they went to Lansing, Iowa to her parents trailer home that they have. To get to Lansing It took them six hours just to get there. Lansing is kind of in a bowl of hills. Its really fun to get down there because there is sharp turns and really wavy. My dads girlfriend Jill calls it her NASCAR driving practice.
When they got there it was late so they decided it's too late for fishing. They decided to just go ahead and go to bed for the day and in the morning wake up and hit the lake; So that morning around 6:30 they woke up and hit the lake. There was Jill, My dad, Jill’s sister Jess, Jess's boyfriend josh, Jill's mom which I can't remember her name, And last but definitely not least Roy Jill’s dad.
They all loaded up on a little 75 horsepower fishing boat and took off. First they went Perch fishing which is what they call Pan fishing. WHich is with a bobber and you sit there in the middle of the lake and fish. My dad ended up catching a sheephead which is the ugliest fish ever. It's a warm and slimy fish.
Then they decided to go trolling. Trolling is when the boat goes at a slow but steady pace. Then you cast your line out from the side of the boat. It feels like you have a fish but you really don’t. When you do have a fish you definitely can feel it. At the beginning my dad had a fish on the line and it went to go swim in another direction and my dads pole smacked Jill right in the kisser. After that they didn't really catch anything good while trolling.
By then it was saturday night and they had dinner. Then next morning they headed home. That's when they told my brother and I this story. A couple weeks after that our dad told us to bring our fishing stuff to his house this weekend. We didn't think of he was going to take us to Lansing. Of course we fell asleep on the way there.
When we got there we didn’t know where we were because where they live is like a trailer home park. Then we unpack our stuff and bring it inside. When we got there it was around six or seven so we didn’t go fishing that day. We did get a really good meal, It was grilled chicken breast red potatoes the sliced and cooked ones last but not least we got cheesy potatoes. They aren’t really my favorite, but my dad loves them. He ate them till he got sick.
Then we decided to go to bed and wake up in the morning to go fishing. We woke up and Roy got his coffee we got our breakfast, I had a banana and a granola bar. We then hook the trailer up to the Ford explorer and headed to the boat docks. My dad backs the boat into the water. Roy is in the boat and unloading and then brings it to the dock so we can get on the boat and then go fishing.
We take off and we go perch fishing first. Perch fishing is Pan fishing. It is where you sit on a boat in the middle of the lake. You have to drop your anchor and then cast. You usually have a bobber on and wait for a fish to bite and reel it in.
When we get there we dropped our anchor by a peninsula. We caught some many perch. The great thing is when you go home and cut it up. If you aren't going to eat it right away then your can freeze it and it will last longer.
After catching Perch left and right we decided we should go trolling. We started driving around on the boat to find a good spot. Roy knows these places like the back of his hand. We get to one area of the lake where it isn't deep or wide. There also was a stump almost poking out of the water. It scrapped the boat and it scared the crap out of everyone but Roy he was ticked off because that boat is his life
“Watch out boys we got to get up and go” Roys said with a smile on his face.
My brother was the first one to catch something. He catches a Northern Pike. It was about 10 inches. At the time that was big for us. The reason is because we are used to Bluegill and Crappie.

Then something amazing happened. I had a bite I tell Roy. He stops the boat and i start to reel. The my luck turned my pole broke in half where it comes apart. My dad rushes to grab it he does. I keep reeling and then I seen color. I told Roy and he grabbed the net. He got it in the net. When we got it home we measure and it was 19 inches long. That was and still is the biggest fish I have ever caught.

Sports

Sports
Baseball
I am going to tell you all my baseball excipients in my life. Baseball the definition in my words is a game in which you get pitch the ball by the defence then hit the ball to score. The is a catcher to catch the ball if the batter doesn’t swing. Then there is a umpire behind the catcher decide if the pitch was a ball or a strike. A strike is a pitch that is in between your knees and your belly botton.
I have played baseball since I was 5. It is my favorite sport of all time. My favorite team is the Cubs. My coach for 1-3rd grade was Allen Cordes, Nick's dad. Then when one of my best friends Joel Sampson came to Avoca. Then his dad became our coach. Rob Sampson He coached us till 8th grade. He was the greatest coach of all time. He was a fun coach and a serious coach. He is my favorite coach.
The Cubs are doing great this season so far. In little league T-Ball I played for the Angels. That's really the only reason I like them. T- Ball is baseball but when you set the ball on a stand called a tee and hit the ball. The pitcher is still there but doesn’t pitch. Then it goes coach pitch where the coach pitches it to the kids and the pitcher on the team stands next to the coach. Then it goes good old fashioned baseball.
I am now in high school baseball and I play first base. Real practices haven’t started yet. All we have right now is open gym. It’s optional so you go whenever you can or want too. I like to go whenever I can so I can get ready and more practice for the season. I pitch just not a lot. All of our pitchers are Lucas, Joey, Clayton, Joel, And I.
Wrestling
I just started wrestling last season and it was great I went 15-7. Coach Sampson is the one that kept trying to get me out for like 2-3 years. Then I finally just said “SKO”. I went out and loved it. My wrestling buddy/ partner was mostly leland. My other partner was Brady. He has been wrestling for 10 years. Rob Sampson is also my wrestling coach.
My first match I won against a pud. My second match I faced an experienced wrestler that Brady lost to every year until last year. I ended up loosing. I felt good that meet. I was 1-1 my first ever meet. I was proud and it gave me a big confidence boost. Every Time somebody got pinned we had to run one hallway sprint there and back at the old Walnut school. Also if someone got a detention it would be 10 for every 1 after school detention. We ran a lot because of these rules but it brought us as a team.
After that meet we went to Pizza Hut and I got the Spicy Asian wings. Which are the best wings i've ever had. That is my second favorite place to eat pizza. The first place is the harlan Bowling Alley. I go there for my birthday with my family. This and last year. My brother birthday is tomorrow April 14, 2016. We will probably go there for his birthday.
Football
My football career was great. My first year was with Jean Pauley. He was a hard but good coach. He lead us to the bowl game. Then we got there and got slayed by some Omaha team. We lost but still got trophies it was a good season. We had a football party. It was at the Avoca Bowling Alley. It was fun we bowled raced in the arcade. After we got done inside we went outside and played a game of football. It was fun the team consists of the freshman this year 2016 Also us 8th graders.
Then the next year I didn’t go out for football. The reason is because the practices took up a lot of time away from my mom and dad. The games were on the weekends so my dad barely got to see me. I definitely missed it.
Then junior high came and we played 7th grade football. I played linebacker. I also played Defensive end. It was a good year. We had to adapt to a new offence and defence. We didn’t do to good. Ethan was our QB. Jackson was our running QB; he was a man. Ethan was our passing QB. We went about 4-7 I can't fully remember because it was a year ago. I had a good year that year.
Then 8th grade came and it was go time. We were the bigger kids. Mr. Maze became the head coach. The 7th graders were stupid and made us run. A LOT!! Especially Jacob Roush. He got detentions and that made us run all the time. For every 1 detention was like 5 gassers. It kept the team in a line. Everyone hated Roush though. He was the one that always got us in trouble.

Mr. Maze was a good coach. He was especially good at defence. He made our defence good. The offencive coach was Mr. Mosher or coach moasher. He was the fun coach. They had like a little good cop bad cop thing going. I liked Coach Mosher. He is jacked out of his mind his calves are the size of my head.

Hills
Hills, hills, hills
What would we do without hills.
How could we pay our bills.
That’s why I love hills.
They help pay my bills.
Bags
My bag reminds me of an old rag
That has been dragged a half mile
on the back of a cab.
Friends
Friends are people who are there for you.
They are people who you're always with.
People who are a big part of your life.
Their people who back you up.
People who are a big role in your life.
People you laugh with.
People you smile with.
School
School stinks.
I would rather be playing pool instead of school,
I would actually rather be at the pool.
Family
Family is the kind of people you act like you hate
But you really don’t.
There the people who get you through life.
Sometimes friends are even consider family.
They consider them family because they are just like them and are top of the line friends.
Life
Life is when you are born.
life is also like a box of chocolates.
You never know what you're gonna get.
Money
Money is something everybody wants.
I find it kind of funny that money is so valuable.
Only to some people though.
I mean like bro how could you not want some more dough.
Phones
Everybody has a phone.
They’re used for communication,
like messaging or calling

They have evolved so fast.

KIdnapping

Kidnapping
It was a normal day in Iowa and I was sitting in a big bay window in the corner of my house. I noticed something unusual in the corner of my eye and when I looked over I didn't see anything. I thought that was really weird so I go outside to feed my dog Tank. When I walked out the door I slipped on a piece of ice and blacked out. I woke up to a ringing in my ear and I was laying in a puddle of blood. I couldn’t move It was like I was paralyzed.
When I got up I was in the back of a Cadi what was going in an outrageous speed. I would guess about 90, 95 miles per hour. I try to pop the trunk but it wouldn’t budge. I looked around for something to get me out of here. While i’m looking I scratched my hand on something. I hurt so bad but I didn’t yell because I didn’t want them knowing I was wake. I don’t know if there were more than one person in the car.
Then I remembered that there is a cubby hole from the trunk to the cab of the vehicle. I need to decide if I should open it. When I was just about to I thought what if somebody was sitting in the middle of the back of the cab.
Then when i’m about to open it I heard the guys say.“I think we need to pull over he’s got to be waking up anytime now if he isn’t already.
“We will when then next exit comes up which will be in about 5 miles” The guy in the front seat said.
“Well while were stopped I want to go to the bathroom and get some Mcdonalds.”
“Oh. Ok. You want to go to McDonalds with a person in the trunk that we kidnapped about two days ago.” said angrily.
Wait did he say two days, I’ve been out for two days.
“Alright so we are about five minutes away.”
I have to get out of here, so I start to look for something to cover my hand so I won’t bleed out. while I’m looking for something to cover my hand. Then I start to feel that the car is the slowing down. I start to freak out and I finally found a four way tire bar and I smash it into the trunk 3 times before it finally broke open and I noticed before I jumped that they were screaming and yell.
“Hey wait what is he doing Slow down we have to go get him.”
All I see is them breaking and a car coming right for me I get up and start to run away but I wasn’t fast enough, so I dive and my waist down got hit by and semi and I get up and I wonder how I didn’t get hurt from the jump or the semi. I was so confused, but I knew I needed to get out of this place so those guys don’t catch me.
When I get far enough from them I decided to take a breath and find out where I am. I look around and see a green sign I know it’s one of them that tell you where the closest towns are. It wasn’t faced towards me so I walked around and found out that the closest town was Chicago, Illinois. Well at least I know where I am. My goal is to get home.
It’s March 22, 2017. It is two days till My birthday. The one thing I forgot to do is check if I had my phone and I do, but it’s cracked so bad. I call my and she said she is in the hospital. I called my dad and said he doesn’t want to leave my mom's sight. I asked him what happened and he said he was at work and mom was on her way home from the business trip in Chicago. I just thought what if it was the people who was after me maybe there after my family. Well back to the story somebody T-boned her and then mugged her after the accident.
I felt horrible my heart was in my toes it was so sad. I wonder what I did. Well after I thought about it for What if it wasn’t something I did. I called my dad and asked if he gambled a lot. He said well yes.
After that I thought what if this was all his fault. Maybe he owed somebody money. What if he didn’t pay him his money. That person has to be a monster. Why would they hurt our family. Why didn’t they just hurt my dad. They probably thought to hurt who he loves the most. He does so many things for our family it’s unreal he pays our bills he pays for our food he works eight to ten hours a day he does everything for this family.

What would we do without him. Mom would have to work more. After this I don’t know if she will ever work. By choice or forced not to. I’ll probably have to get a job and help out with the bills. What would we do.  I still Can’t believe that dad would put us into a big predicament like this.

The Depressed Vampire Bat

The Depressed Vampire Bat
One day I was walking into the Purrrrfect grocery store. By the way, it’s not perfect. That’s just the name of the store. The reason I go there is because it’s the cheapest place in town. If you could see me, you would understand. I look old with gray hair, yellow fangs and a scraggly beard. After I got out of the store with my food for the week, including three baby carrots and a stick of celery, I was flying home when I saw the most beautiful thing that I’ve ever seen; a five dollar bill. With this I could by myself about 5 chocolate bars. AWWWW sweet, sweet chocolate. Oh how  I love chocolate. Then I turn, and I headed to the more expensive place called the Pawless grocery store.
When I got there I was looking around, and then I saw something so beautiful and so elegant; a ten dollar bill. Wow, is it my lucky day or what? Now that I have fifteen dollars, what am I going to do? Ohhh I have an idea I can buy a scratch card and a bag of Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos. When I got in line the man asked if I was eighteen or older, and I said no for some stupid reason. Then he said that he couldn’t sell me the scratch card. At least I got my Doritos to eat my sorrows away. Then it hit me. I just have to get a mustache, a hat, and a coat.
The next day I went there, and it’s a different person working the counter. I got lucky on that part. When I get up there, and I ask for a scratch card he asked for my age and I said 21. Well I totally forgot that I got a fake gray wig, so he kicked me out. What am I going to do? I have an idea I’ll just bribe him with five dollars. Hopefully my luck hasn’t gone away, because then I’m out five dollars. Let’s do this! Aww man I need a nap. All of this evil thinking is getting to me.
The next day I walk into the store. I wasn’t dressed up in anything. I was myself. When I get up to the counter, a different person was working behind the counter. It was time. It was about 5:45 when I got to the counter. As soon as I got up there it was a shift change. There he was. The first cashier I had goofed on the first time. When I got up there, he asked what I wanted, and I said I think we both know what I want.
“No really dude what do you want.”
“I would like one scratch card please.” Then he asked for my age, and I said twenty-one. Ok that will be two dollars and fourteen cents, At that moment I was furious, but also happy because I got a scratch card.
When I got out of the store, I saw the most beautiful thing in the world; a chihuahua. You probably thought it was more money. Who do you think I am? I walk up to her and said that I like salad. She was confused and said ok. I asked her how old she was. She didn’t like and the next thing you know I’m handcuffed and on my way to county, solitary, downtown, the joint, the slammer, whatever you want to call it. I’m on my way to jail for having a scratch card and I’m not old enough and for asking how old a chihuahua was. When I got to county, there were some bad animals there. Like real gangsters; Tigers, lions, german shepard. I mean bad animals. When I got to my cell I fell asleep. One week later I got out. I think they just tried to scare me to teach me not to break the law.
When I got home I took a long bath. I mean seriously, I groomed myself for like one and a half hours of non-stop grooming. After my bath I decided to plan out my plan to get another scratch card, first things first I’m going to need a whole bunch fruit, and I think we all know what I’m going to do with these. Yeah that’s right. I’m gonna eat them. What did you think I was going do? After that I will go to the store, buy the scratch card, and leave. I know that it sounds complicated,````````````` but that’s how I do things.
When I get there for some reason I started staring the cashier down, but then I finally realized who she was it was my mom. Duhn duhn duhhhhh. I walk up there and asked my mommy if she could buy me a scratch cards and she said oh sure anything for my little baby boy. Mom i’m thirty-seven years old. What’s your age have to do with that, you’ll still be my baby boy until i’m long gone.
Then we finally got back on track and she bought me one. Once I had it in my hand I felt like 234 million bucks. Do you know why because I won. I won. Oh my god I won. I never thought this day would come. Then came the first hard part, my mom bought the card, so she wants half and I was like how about a fifth, then she was like no. We finally came to an agreement of her getting 34 million of the money.
Then it was the second hard part what should I spend this on now that I can literally do anything. Three weeks later I was retired lived in Lansing, Iowa right by the wisconsin border and fished on the Mississippi river. I had a thirty-four thousand dollar boat it’s like a speed fishing boat. I also have a pontoon for partying out on the river. I am living the dream only very few people live.
Retirement isn’t as fun as it sounds when you're a lonely loner and don’t have anyone to live with. I live with you honey, shut up mom, by the my mom lives with me. I know it’s weird I won the lottery, but I still live with my momma. Good thing is when I go out on the river for a couple hours I come home to some seriously delicious food. There is nothing better then mommas cook.

John Elway

My biography is about a football star named John Elway.  He was born on June 28, 1960, he is 55 years old. He was born in Port Angeles, WA. He has a twin sister named Lee Ann, born 11 minutes after him. His career started in 1983 and ended in 1998. His parents are Janet Elway and Jack Elway. He has four children one son and three daughters, their son’s name is Jack Elway, and their daughters names are Jordan, Jessica, and Juliana Elway. He owns a couple car dealerships.
He played with/against other legends like Jerry Rice, Dan Marino, and Joe Montana. John  played for the Denver Broncos. Now he is the manager for them. John Elway is famous for diving head first for the first down in the AFC Championship game. He dove for the first down and the browns player hit him from the side and John spun around, but still got the first down. He retired in 1999 the year after his football career ended. He brought the Broncos two consecutive Super Bowl wins.
He retired with 51,475 passing yards, 300 touchdowns, and 226 interceptions. He is elected for the hall of fame. He holds the record for most 4th quarter comebacks which is 47. He led the Broncos for 5-6 AFC Championships games won. John coached his son Jack’s team, he was the coach that helped the quarterback. The Broncos stadium is called Mile High stadium, It's not really a mile high. His career lasted about 16 years. The owner of the Broncos is Pat Bowlen and the CEO is Joe Ellis.
Back then the face masks only have one bar, nowadays we have at least 3 up to one called the cage when it has about 15 bars. The equipment has evolved so much when  they first started football. They had leather helmets, Pants with little to nothing padding, and little leather shoulder pads, and cleats made of leather, that's a big shock. The sad thing is that they didn’t get payed near as much or none at all, and they still probably played better than players nowadays. If you ask me I think that people are only after the money any more not the game. Either that or the fame because anymore everything is about money.
Back to football the Broncos just hired a new coach is Gary Kubiak, he was just hired this  season. Peyton Manning is John Elway's prized possession. Probably because he reminds him of himself except younger, not by much though only 16 years. Peyton Manning holds the touchdown passes in the NFL.
John grew up on a farm. He loved helping out with the animals. He went to school at Granada Hill High school. Then he went to college at Stanford University. He made a living off of being a college football coach. He also ran 2 steakhouses. Then he devoted some of his time to fighting child abuse.
John is a CO. owner and chief executive officer of a arena football league in Colorado. It was created in 2002. His team won the ArenaBowl championship in 2005. When he was elected to be in the Hall of Fame they decided to retire his number, 7. People say that John  Elway rebuilt the Broncos to be a powerhouse football team.
During John’s senior year got recruited by 65 different colleges. He also played baseball which attracted the Kansas City Royals scouting attention. In 1982 he spent the summer playing for the New York Yankees farm team. Since he was better at football and his dad coached college football he chose that path. After John’s retirement his father died of a heart attack in  April 2001. It was a tragedy because John and his father were best friends. John’s dad was an early supporters for John’s football career. Also another tragedy is when his twin sister had lung cancer and died in 2002, she had been fighting it for 2 years. She was 42 years old when she passed away. Then his wife moved out with the children. They were married for 18 years. After all of that  it was a wake up call for the football star John. He was always focused on football and being a businessman and it pulled him away from his marriage and brought his marriage to an end.
John, Wayne Gretzky, and Michael Jordan all helped form MVP.com a website about all different sports merchandise.John is ranked 3rd in the NFL for the most passing attempts and completions. In 1983 he scored second to the most votes in bid for the Heisman Memorial Trophy. In 1987 he got voted for NFL Player of the year. Also in 2000 he got abducted into the college football Hall of Fame. His career record was 142-82-1, with an average of .643. If you ask me that’s a pretty good career record, at least it was a winning record. Which makes him the most winningest starting quarterback in the NFL.

Elway and his dealership sold 82.5 million dollars worth of cars, which is most of his stock. His wife was apart of the Stanford University swim team. John  played football without an ACL that he had taken out in high school when he was playing football and got injured. In high school John’s nicknames were Duke and Wood. He even has his high school football field named after him. He’s ranked 2nd in All-Time Sacked List. He played baseball before he decided to play football and go to the NFL. He was first round pick for what were Baltimore Colts, but now they’re called the Indianapolis Colts.
