The Day it all Changed

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! I woke up and crack some eggs and toss it in a pan. I then look at the clock and notice I'm already almost late and I still need to get gas. I run to my 1997 Cutlass Supreme and turn on my G-Eazy mixtape. I stop by the gas station and grab my normal breakfast pizza and coffee with Redbull. I go to the counter and start buying. I see some lottery tickets so I buy a couple. I get back in my car and start heading to work. As I pull into the White House driveway, I show them my card so I can get in. You may be wondering how I have a job at the White House. Well, I’m the plumber. Sounds like a bad job, but President Trump knows me personally. As I walk to the bathroom to fix some pipes, President Trump walks by, I shake his hand and casually say, “Suh Dude?”
He looks at me and says “How's it goin’ Charles?”
“The names actually last name ever first name greatest.”
The Presidents said, “Really because I heard my daughter calling you Charlie this morning at bekfast?”
I said “She talks about me, I mean oh yeah your daughter what is her name because in my phone her name is just Rihanna and her ringtone is ‘Work’.”
I looked and the President and winked. That's when he and his body guards started beating the crap out of me. I left without a rib, a pinky finger, and a job.

I go to the hospital, and they patch me up. The doctor looks at me says “You lost a rib and a pinky finger, good thing it wasn’t an eye otherwise we have had to call you Fetty Wap.” I was in no mood for jokes because I just found out these bills put me in debt and they’re taking my car. I turn my T.V. on and on the news the anchor says, “There has been a lottery ticket sold that is giving away a new Chevy Camaro.” I grab my card and yes I had the numbers. I call in they said I need to meet them at the Chevy dealer in Austin, Texas. I’m completely broke and have no friends, so there's no way to get there. Then it hit me. The doctor turns around and I see his wallet. I snag 50 buckS and head down to Walmart where I buy myself a new Huffy bike. I steal some Twinkies and Honey Buns and pedal away.
I am on my way to Texas. I have been going for about 2 hours now and I’m not even to West Virginia yet. I take my shirt off because it gets a little warm. Two hours later I begin to regret that when I get move my arms and look like a tomato. My phone starts to ring. I answered “Hello.”
“Hey this is Monica Lewinsky and I heard you're heading down to Texas.”
I said “I am what's it to you?”
“Well I’d say we have something in common we were both kicked out of the White House.”
I said “I got to go.”
A trucker stops and says, “ You’re that plumber that got kicked out of the White House? get in.”
I got in his truck and he took me all the way Oklahoma. I thanked him and I was on my way. I hopped back on my bike and began to ride again I passed a T.V. store and I saw myself on the T.V and a caption on the bottom that says “Plumber on his way to get his Camaro on his bike his deal with the Camaro is almost over he needs to get there in 4 hours and it takes 7 hours to get there how will he do it.”  I freak out and start pedaling until I can't feel my legs. Two hours go by and I just made it into Texas. I’m making great time. I check my watch and it says I have two hours and i’m three hours away.
I finally arrive and the Guinness the book of world records is packing up. I asked “Uh what you doin.”
They said “You missed it by one second I’m sorry good luck next time.”
“I’m sorr,.” He said.
I walk into the dealership and they say “AY it's my boy let's go get your car.”
I was like a kid in a candy shop at that dealership. The guy takes me all the way to this back room and there was a Camaro with a sheet over it he looked at me and said “Want to do the honors?”
“Nah,” I said.
I pull out my phone and open my Snapchat. I get ready to check out my new ride the guy starts to pull the sheet off a smile starts to grow on my face then the smile slowly started to fade. It's like a unicorn threw up on it. It's rainbow colored and it’s convertible. Which doesn't seem too bad, but I'll have kids walking up to my car asking for ice cream! The worst part is there is snow in the forecast for the whole drive back.

The French Chef

Julia Carolyn McWilliams, also known as JuJu or Jukie, was born in Pasadena, California. Growing up she had a younger sister, Dorothy, and a younger brother, John McWilliams III. Julia found an interest in reading when she was in Smith College. Later on she graduated with a degree in history, and she moved to Manhattan to become a writer.
After a year or so of living in Manhattan she went back to California. Her mother gets really sick and dies of high blood pressure. During World War II Julia is hired to type for the U.S. Information Agency in Washington D.C. She traveled to China, continuing that job, and meets Paul Child.
Paul and Julia went back to the U.S. and took time to get to know each other. Julia drove  across the country with Paul to meet his family and twin brother where they announced that they were getting married. Paul took a job that requires a lot of moving, so they moved from Washington to Paris, Germany, and Norway. Julia has her first meal at La Couronne in France. She describes it as “the most exciting meal of my life!”
Julia enrolled in a cooking school, Le Cordon Bleu, and she graduates, but she fails her first exam. Julie pairs up with two French women, Simon and Louisette. They work together on a French cookbook which takes a few years to publish. She goes on a T.V. show, and from there she launches her own show. As Julia continued her show, she is featured in Time magazine. She is described as a 6 foot 2 inch tall star of The French Chef.
Julia's second book, The French Chef Cookbook, is a compilation of all her recipes which she also publishes. Paul starts to have chest pains for a few years, and he is diagnosed with blocked blood vessels. He gets bypass surgery to fix his heart. After surgery, Paul continues to have strokes and Julia cut down her traveling and work time.
Once again Julia publishes another book called From Julia Child’s Kitchen. After a few years of her book being published, she continues her show on PBS. She also gets more rewards in honor of her cooking. When Julia's face appears on Parade Magazine, the editors say it was perfect because of her detailed explanations.
When Julia turned eighty, and she attended a lot of parties in Boston, Los Angeles, New York, and of course at home in Cambridge. When Julia is away, Paul dies at 92 from a long time illness in a nursing home. Julia takes time to recover from her husband's death, and when she recovers she airs on Jacque Pepin's cooking show.
The following year, Julia receives many awards for her cooking. Julia and Jacques Pepin do a lot of shows, and she’s awarded an Emmy for being an outstanding host. In 2002, Julia donated her stage kitchen to the Smithsonian National museum. Her kitchen is a very popular exhibit, and it is still very popular exhibit today. On August 13, 2004, Julia died of kidney failure two days before her 92nd birthday.
My Life in France, a memoir, is written by Julia's nephew, Alex Prud’homme. Julia’s 100th  birthday is celebrated in 2012. It brings back many memories. In memory of Julia and other amazing chefs that passed away. The U.S Postal service temporarily puts them on a stamp.
In total Julia published 15 books about French cooking. She always wanted to be an author, and she’s found a way to be a cook, and an author at the same time. In 2009, Amy Adams and Meryl Streep makes a movie called Julie & Julia where she has to complete 524 recipes from her cookbook. The movie is released on August 7, 2009.
Julie & Julia won 5 awards for great acting and impersonation. The movie explains most of the 524 recipes from Julia Child’s cookbook. It shows the struggle of some of the dishes and how hard they could really be. It also shows the life of a New Yorker growing up in the big city.
All of Julia Child’s cook books explain how to cook and how to use the right utensils. Julia made sure you understood thoroughly through her instructions before you move on to the next step. Julia was always very thorough when working with people. She always had the patience when she was prepping for an episode. Each episode usually took 19 hours to prep.
The French Chef aired on T.V. for ten years, and then Julia Child and Company was on for a year. She had many different series of shows explaining different things about cooking. Like Julia Child said, “with enough butter anything is is good.” This was true. Julia child loved to use butter in everything. She used so much through all the years that she ended up using 753 pounds of it. She said if you don’t want to use butter, use cream!

Mexican Gangs

Mexican Gangs
I know what you're thinking oh there's a Mexican with a bandana on oh he’s in a gang well, most, uh ok your essay right but there is more to it than that. There's Cartels, mongols and my favorite the Solo Angels. This one kid went from the being nobody to being one of the most dangerous mexican in america. It was a nice sunny day in Southern Texas. Roberto got up and went to school. At his school there were two types of people Ropeys and Mexicans. But roberto didn't ever really fit in.
It was 9th period the last period of the day Roberto was very tired and wanted to be done luckily it was friday. The bell rang and he was walking home by himself when he heard a gunshot then started speed walking home. A man walked out of a building really fast almost the same pastes as Roberto.
“Hey Kid you wanna make some money.” The Man said
“Uh..yeah i guess” he said worried that the man would hurt him if he dicac reid.
“Take this bag and This Paper that has the address and the reason why you're there now run kid run”.
Roberto dashed worried that the man was going to snap and kill him or something.
He ran as fast as he could and reached his house to calm down and read the note. 4 pound full of cocaine. Oh no he thought what did i get into. He Was hungry but couldn't eat anything. He got on his bike and went half a mile to a factory. Right when he got to the factory the guns just amend right at him they probably thought He was a cop. But then lowerd the guns realizing he was only about 14.
The Mexican looking man Pushed him to the front door with the help of his Ak.
“Who is this boy, new recruit?”
Roberto explained to him why he was there and the man paid him. He got two thousand dollars just for walking. He could help his mom with rent he thought maybe i'll say that i worked for all of this He gave the money to his sick mother and so she could pay rent she was very grateful.
Roberto took a shower and went to bed and he had a dream about what he did except he made more money. He went to the warehouse after school and went to the man that he first met in the beginning. The guy told him to be loyal and make a distraction for us Roberto agreed.
“I want you to start a fight”. The man made clear that he was not messing around.
“On 49th and maple”. He continued.
The man wanted him to , make a distraction so the cops would be distracted and stop the fight will they rob a Dollar General. Roberto went to 49th but everyone there was with her family. He finally found a kid that looked like a punk and ran into him. The Kid threw a punch witch roberto dodged. Roberto threw the kid on the ground and Beat him so bad that someone called the police which is good because as Roberto was pushing he Saw the drug dealers get into the store.
He got back to the factory and The drug dealer paid him the money which he later gave to his mom. He Felt kinda bad for the boy but he did throw the first punch. After a while of making distractions, Roberto started delivering because no cop had every expected a nerd looking Mexican like Roberto to be selling drugs. He eventually bought a new Condo for his mom. His mom was getting kind of suspicious and checked his bag once before he went to school.
He came Home to his mom and she asked how he been making his much money. He Explained how he was working as a deliverer for a gang. She started crying, He didn't understand she has all his money. She kicked him out of his one house, but he  kick her out she was sick. Roberto was furious that he had to walk out of his own house.
It was getting dark and he was Getting more scared, of his rival gang the Amigos. He heard a car's loud screech of tires. He turns around and three shots ring out.

Poems Mackenzie J.

Everything blooming,
Everything anew.
Spring has sprung,
With a meaning so true.

Spring brings happiness,
a fresh new day,
The smell of morning rain,
The feel of spring in a brand new way.

Bees are buzzing,
Birds full of song,
Bright blue sky,
All  day long.

School is out;
Summer has begun,
No time for rules,
Just having fun.

Hottest of days,
Hottest of nights,
Laying in the grass,
Under the star light.

Summer months are filled,
With family and friends,
I never want,
These months to end.

Leaves start falling,
The temperature turns cool.
Always a sure sign,
It’s back to school.

Halloween’s a holiday,
A favorite of mine.
With ghosts and goblins,
Always a fun time.

Turkey and stuffing,
Followed by pie,
Football and friends,
So happy I could cry.

The snow is falling,
What a beautiful sight,
The trees look like they sparkle,
Oh so bright.

The months are freezing,
Oh so cold,
Grab your hat and mittens,
Or so I’ve been told.

One joyous occasion,
For all to enjoy,
Christmas is the reason,
For smiling girls and boys.

Breakfast is
My morning meal,
Eggs, bacon and toast,
Is the deal.
Sometimes I eat pancakes,
Sometimes it's sausage bake.

Lunch is the meal,
I eat at noon,
Usually while,
I watch cartoons.
Sometimes to shake things up,
I’ll eat breakfast for my lunch.

Snack is my mid-day treat,
Maybe a bowl of cereal,
While resting my feet,
Or sometime it could be an orange or an apple,
To quench my thirst,
I’ll pop open a snapple.

Supper is the meal,
I always eat at night,
Hamburgers and chips,
Are such a delight,
I must always have a dessert,
Chocolatey sweet that looks like dirt.
Sometimes I must,
Have a mid-night snack,
To fight away,
My nightly hunger attacks.
