Biography Halsey

Ashley Nicolette Frangipane was born September 29,1994. Ashley goes by her stage name Halsey. Halsey started writing songs at the age 17. 2014 Halsey signed with a recording label called Astralwerks. Also in 2014 Halsey made her debut album “Room 93”. In 2015 she released another album called “Badlands”.
Halsey started her career off by recording covers of songs under her real name on YouTube. In 2012 Halsey did a cover of Taylor Swift's song “ I Knew You Were Trouble” called “The Haylor song.”This parody was based off of Taylor’s relationship with a member from One Direction named Harry Styles, and posted it on her tumblr page.
In 2014 Halsey recorded her own song called “Ghost,” Halsey posted the song to SoundCloud. Soon after the song had released it gained attention and she soon then released her debut album “ Room 93” on October 27, 2014. Halsey toured with the Kooks as their opening act. Throughout March and April of 2015 Halsey led a co-headlining tour with Young Rising Sons. Halsey also supported Imagine Dragons on The Some+Mirror  tour. Halsey’s debut album “Badlands” was released on August 28, 2015.
Halsey described in an interview that badlands was an angry feminist record. Halsey soon after that interview commented saying she was misquoted and actually said that badlands was an angry female record.

Halsey’s early life: Halsey was born and raised in New Jersey. She is Italian, Hungarian, And Irish on her mom's side of the family. She is also African American on her father's side. Halsey played the violin, viola, and cello until moving onto the acoustic guitar at the age of 14. In an interview Halsey stated that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder around the age of 16 or 17. At the age of 18 Halsey came into financial problems, she used her musical talents to help her pay rent.
Halsey had many stage names, but she settled with Halsey coming from her real name and a street in Brooklyn. Halsey originally wanted to got to college to major in fine arts, instead she went to a community college for creative writing.
While Halsey was growing up, Her father listened to The Notorious B.I.G., Slick Rick, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, & 2Pac, while her mother listened to The Crue, Alanis Morissette, and Nirvana. Halsey says that the music her parents listened to influenced her as a musician and her style.

Melanie Martinez
Melanie Adele Martinez was born on April 28, 1995. She grew up in Baldwin, New York. Melanie’s career started off from the T.V. show The Voice. Melanie auditioned for The Voice in 2012 singing “Toxic” by Britney Spears. After the show Melanie started working on her own original work. Melanie released her debut single “Dollhouse” an April 22, 2014. In the same month she released a music video that has 30 million views or more. On April 7, 2014 Melanie released her debut album “Dollhouse.”

On June 2, 2015 she released a new song called “Pity Party.” Melanie released most songs from her new album. On July 31,2015 she released a dubeted song called “Sippy Cup,”14 days later she released her album Cry Baby. In July 10, 2015 Melanie released the second single “Soap.” The song made it 12th on Alternative Digital Songs Charts.

G-Eazy
Gerald Earl Gillum was born on May 24, 1989. Gerald is better known by his stage name G-Eazy. Gerald is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. When Gerald was in first grade his mother had left his father. Gerald and his two younger brothers moved in with his grandparents in Berkeley, California. Later they had moved to North Oakland, Gerald still attended school in Berkeley.
When Gerald was twelve years old his mother started dating a woman named Melissa Mills. This confused and embarrassed Gerald. He couldn't comprehend on what was going on in his mother's personal life. Sooner or later Gerald become closer to Melissa and allowed her into his life. However Melissa had become depressed due to drugs she was taking to treat her Manic Depressive Disorder. One day Gerald came home to find Melissa dead from an overdose. Gerald details this experience in the last verse of “ Everything Will Be OK” on his second album, “When it's dark out.”
Starting out as a record producer, Gerald begun working on numerous singles why he was still a student at Loyola University at New Orleans. In 2010 Gerald started to gain popularity when he was given an opportunity to open for some well known artist such as Lil Wayne, and Snoop Dogg. On June 16, 2012 Gerald performed all United states dates on the annual Vans Warped Tour.
